Rooted in Ubud Since 1980
Ananda Ubud Resort, originally cherished by generations of travelers as Ananda Cottages was founded by I Wayan Pageh and his wife, Ni Nyoman Suryani. It began as a family place shaped by the beauty, culture, and gentle rhythm of Ubud. Over the years, it has grown into a peaceful sanctuary where guests are welcomed with genuine Balinese hospitality and a deep connection to the surroundings. Ananda itself coming from Sanskrit word means happiness. In the Hindu Vedas, Upanishads and Bhagavad Gita, Ananda signifies eternal bliss which accompanies the ending of the rebirth cycle.

For generations, Ananda has remained closely connected to the land it calls home. Surrounded by tropical gardens and rice fields, the resort was created as a place where guests can experience a quieter and more meaningful side of Ubud.
